(and ours)Once we arrived it took awhile to find parking, but I knew we'd find a spot eventually. After circling the block twice, we hit the jackpot with a spot right in front of the children's pool.
Even though it was high tide, there was much sea life to see. Many of the seals had spots. This one wanted the reef all to himself.

He sat here, watching all of us as we talked. He was very curious.

There was one baby seal who was white with dark spots. Most of the seals were dark with lighter spots.

It was very windy. The sound of the sea was calming though.
We spent alot of time looking down at the crabs. They were pretty entertaining. I tried to post more photos, but the site did not let me. All looks fine in the article editor, but when I click publish something is lost in the process.
Overall, I think we all left the beach feeling a little better. We will see our friend again in October, but from now on she will be living in Florida.

The fog cooled it down quite a bit. It was windy and nice & cool.
La Jolla does have many hidden jewels, many near or on the beach.
