There's a few clues - apparently enough to give it away:

the colored edges of the pages
the way the text is laid out (which does resemble a dictionary)
the name of the 'book' in the upper corner of each page
(A dictionary would more likely have two words at the top of each page - the first and last to be 'defined' thereon. Having only ONE letter combination at the top margin of each page suggests that it's not that type of reference.)
the map on the last page - every Bible I've checked has one
