We went on a wonderful island safari trip with our visitors from Sweden and when we stopped at Bathsheba beach, a gentleman with dreads was selling jewelry from a small suitcase. With him was his very tame and photogenic monkey. We weren't interested in the jewelry but we definitely wanted to get the kids' pictures with the monkey and here they are.
Here's my oldest (just turned 10 yesterday). He said the monkey tickled when he held onto his ear. I love his smile here.

My younger son and the monkey seemed to bond instantly. The monkey looked like he was ready to hang out with my son for the rest of the morning.

Butterfly, my 6 year old daughter, got a snuggle and smooch from the monkey. At the time she wasn't sure how she felt about monkey love, but now she's proud.

Little Miss and the monkey seemed to share a certain scepticism about one another that was truly hysterical to see.

I think I have to get each of these blown up to 8 x 10's and hang them on my wall. They all make me smile. I hope you enjoyed the kids and monkey pictures.

Thanks, Nana.
I'm glad to share the smile, Madame Donna.
I'm glad to do it, Mary Beth.
I loved these pictures. The expressions you captured are just priceless...especially the last one.
Yes, Janna you should hang them on the walls.
My favorite is the last. LOL~!
Just come back from a trip to Koh Samui, where one of the locals patrolled the beach with a very similar looking monkey, selling photo ops to the tourists. They were a real hit.
