WaterFallz in Brooklyn...A moving photo essay

 The NYC waterfalls are a series of four pieces of public artwork.

They were designed by artist Olafur Eliasson, and will be on display around New York city from June 26 through October 13th.

The falls range in size from 90 to 120 feet tall, and are both stunning and seriously impressive. These photos were shot at Brooklyn Bridge Park, where the public can walk between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and catch a glimpse of two of the falls(only one of which was operational when I was there.)

I highly recommended checking these out, it is as if nature and man have combined to make a beautiful phenomenon here in the city.

How long has that been there? Where's the water coming from? When I lived in Brooklyn back in the late 70s I don't remember anything like that.

I saw these from the FDR Drive, but I hear the best way to see these is from a boat....kinda like "Maid of the Mist" in Niagara Falls.
