Good evening everyone! It's so good to be home, but it was also a good week away from home at camp.
They kept us hopping all week with activities. I got lots of great pics and once I get them loaded and sorted will be publishing some photo essays.
This week they chose to do a family olympics instead of our usual scavenger hunt. It was a nice change and they paired us up with another family, giving us an opportunity to get to know them better. If we weren't paired up I doubt we would have said much more than hello to the family in passing.
It was a pretty hot week, all except yesterday was cool and cloudy. We all came home with sunburns.
This is the first year that we actually got a cabin instead of one of the dorm rooms. I was really excited! The cabins are split in to 2 rooms, so 2 families together. They share a full bathroom (love that bathtub!) in the middle of the rooms. Another plus of the cabins is air conditioning!
We had 2 different speakers. One for the morning chapel time and one for the afternoon chapel time. Both were good and I took some good notes to remember by as well as to continue studying the verses they talked about.
The food is always good at camp....in fact, probably my favorite part. Three good meals a day that I don't have to cook, nor do I have to do dishes. LOL Good variety of foods, and all the veggies are fresh out of the garden on the camp grounds.
I took several things to do while at camp. I didn't get a whole lot done, as they kept us busier than usual. I did finish a book I was reading, which I also will review here. I made 3 dish scrubbies. I got all my coupons cut and sorted in to my box. I got all of the plastic canvas cut for a Barbie patio set I am making my granddaughter, Ariel, for her 4th birthday next month. I started working on crocheting a hot pad. I also worked on sewing a table runner that I am making. When I look at the list this way, I did get a lot accomplished while there.
Until tomorrow, I am glad to be back home and back to Gather!
