Author - Matthew Reilly
This was an exciting book to read.
It was similar to Tomb Raider and other video games where the player has to solve puzzles and jump over traps to get the "prize" and exit that level; it was also similar to the Indiana Jones movies and the National Treasure movies.
Ancient traps and mechanical ways of dying so that you either do not get the prize or die shortly after getting the prize.
Three international teams are trying to locate the gold capstone from the Great Pyramid. Supposedly it was sliced into seven pieces which were then hidden in the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.
There's a lot of history along with the action and the hype. It definitely held my interest throughout the book
