i heard it isn't as good since it switched over from showtime, i didn't know it was on cbs, i get that channel, i'll have to find out when it's on

I love Dexter! But I think they took it off CBS and put it on Showtime. I don't get showtime. I miss it. Is he back on CBS?

Susan, I don't watch television. Not a criticism or comment on anyone else. Ok, let me amend that I will watch movies if they have no commercials and on occasion the History Channel.

My husband bought the first season on iTunes. I watched part of the first episode with him, and could not watch much. I find him scary.

My research writing class did talk about him. I was explaining the levels of characters in fiction and someone brought him up. His skills level makes him a Romantic level character, but at the same time he is Ironic so we had a great conversation and many students are fans.

I had read the book before seeing the series so I can't say how I'd have felt about it otherwise. The books are excellent and give a very rounded perspective of Dexter. His isn't amoral and he isn't as evil as the series may make him seem.

What I like about it is that they manage to show that someone who seems like the worst of the worst can have a more complex emotional and even ethical life than people assume. I like shows that pop assumptions.
