Cut and Paste a Link - It Will Get You More Views - I Promise

I wrote this out and then thought it might help others who might not email things to me so I am publishing it in the hopes that mailers, especially new Gatherites, will gain some good from it, too.

I wrote this set of instructions to help those who can't or don't provide a link in their email about their latest article. I am sending it in reply to your email about your latest article. I am trying to be helpful, not pushy or mean-spirited. Most people will not take the time to go to your profile page and search for the one article you have just written. So, instead of getting more views, you will get less views. Please accept this help in the spirit it is sent in, one of friendly help.

To send a cut and paste link, in other words, a copy of the link to your article.

After your article has been published, place your cursor on the URL box at the top of the page. The address starts with http.

1. Place your cursor, the arrow in that box and click once. It will turn the box blue.

2. Press the control/C buttons and that will copy that address onto your clipboard.

3. Go to where you are sending your email from, the group home page. Or your own email.

4. Click the 'send email' button and that will open the email page.

5. Place your cursor in the body of the email page.

6. Press the control/V buttons and that will print the address into the email.

7. Type your information, greeting etc below or above the address.

8. Send your email.

Now your friends can copy that address, put it in their address box and past it in and go to your article. This is much easier for your friends to view your work and will increase your views.
