Happy Fourth of July!
Though many of us will be busy spending time with our family and friends, here are a few suggestions for celebrating on Gather as well, which will only take a few moments:
- This holiday weekend, take a picture of a flag that you see, whether its flying high on a pole, displayed on a t-shirt, or even on a cake. Let's see the different ways we all celebrate the red, white, and blue. Post your flag photos to Veterans.gather.com.
- Join the Gather challenge. Upload your flag photo to your profile! How many people can we get to fly their flags for the Fourth? Click here to see the icons you can choose from. I still have more flags to giveaway to members who participate.
- Remember our soldiers and veterans who have made sacrifices to allow us to live in a country of liberties and freedoms. This weekend thank a soldier or veteran you know for his or her service. You can also post a message for all American soldiers and veterans in the comment field below.

Happy fourth, everyone.
happy fourth everyone! Lets hope by the 4th of July 2009 all our troops are home!
As we are watching fireworks in the safety of our USA please remember to pray for our troops seeing blasts of fire, morter, guns and bombs in the sandbox of Iraq and the pit of Afghanistan. Please pray for our gather members currently serving, Ty Phoon (USMC), Capt. Dale Coplelaias (ARMY), Sgt. Nate Stone(ARMY), my son Eddie Sanchez (USMC) two special operations Sgts. whose names cannot be printed also (USMC), Martina Dewey's husband is serving his 3rd deployment in Iraq as we speak (USMC) and family and friends of Chris E (military family) and all those in danger to protect our country from terrorism.
Remember whether you believe in the war or not, our families do believe our country is worth risking life and limb for you so take a moment and as God to put a hedge of protection around each of our brave heros there now, and bless the one's who have already accomplished the job of HERO.
We are planning to go to the County Fair unless it is a total rainout. It is suppose to rain all weekend here. But we will remember all that have served and are serving.
God Bless the USA
God bless those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.
Happy 4th of July to everyone!
May God Bless & protect you all always!
Happy Independence Day to all!
God Bless
Karen
