I have made a few good friends since my move here two years ago!
Having time to fraternize outside of the work place is such a wondeful thing!

Today, I met up with three of my friends for a day at college!

Maybe you've heard of it? Hard Work U....otherwise known as College of the Ozarks!
We began our day at college with a( two hour) lunch at the( what should be) famous resturant at the Keeter Center( managed by one of the many wonderful former Executive Chefs I have worked for, Trent Starks).
If you ever...and I mean EVER come to the Branson Missouri area, please, take the time to lunch, brunch( on Sunday) or Dine one evening here! I promise you, you will not be disappointed!
I had an amazing Greek Salad with a HOMEMADE cucumber vinegarette, and the four of us shared a dessert of brownie with HOMEMADE vanilla bean ice cream!
The resturant is staffed by Students at C of O earning their education, and I mean EARNING IT. The view from the dining room of the ozark hills is perfection, and the food is first class, with nearly everything being produced at the college!

The decor of the Keeter Center (which by the way is a first class lodge and conference center) alone is worthy of an hour of your afternoon. Almost all of the furniture is hand crafted and the gift shop holds many hand made gifts and mementos.

After our lunch we took a drive through campus past lovely gardens( all tended by students) and made our way to the green houses( all staffed by students), which by the way set next to a real opperating grist mill( manned by students)!

This is a great time of year to visit the green houses at C of O . It isn't too busy, and you can take your time touring all FOUR of them.

I did pretty well considering I only purchased a new daylily called Black Eyed Susan, a six pack of red Jacobs Coat, and a miniature white daisy!
It was a wonderful get away day at college, and a true reminder of one of the best places to visit while you are in the beautiful Southern Missouri Ozark Hills!
