To reach that first 3000 . . .

I noticed a few my newbie gatherers are really excited and maybe even a little anxious as the last night of June winds down and it is 'point-panic' time. They are sending more emails than they usually do, begging (and I use the term with decency and non-belittling characteristics) for points from others to comment when there are really a few simple tricks to helping them gets points all by themselves ! So, to "Help Me Help You With Points and Cash" here is some advice !

SEARCH: Use the gather "search all articles"

Go into your search tool and type a topic, word, feeling, thought (one word is all you need) that thrills you enough to comment on about lets say thirty people's posts. Now realistically speaking, if your comments are quality taking something from their article and expounding, chances are they will comment to you as someone else will see what you wrote, they wrote and comment also and so on and so on. By the time you are finished with those thirty ( I usually do 100) you double your efforts cause someone always brings someone along to follow and comment also.

A SIGNATURE: A creative re-directive to something else you write.

Go to your friends first and comment on what they post BUT add at the end of your comment an article that could be related to what they have written on, or similar, through a link provided by gather at the end of your article serving to advertise within and outside of the gather grounds. This can be a picture, an artistic symbol, even a word that relates to your piece, highlight it and embed your direct url in it using the <a href= url would go in betwen the opening and closing of an a href code " </a> for example. At any other persons posts use the same feature creating a flow of traffic from them, you, their visitors and even your visitors. It is nifty, creative and WORKS !

and last but not least, publish, publish, publish constantly with good material not repeated sissy stuff, but real honest debate-creating material that manifests a thread of nearly 300 people ! Rotate your Spotlight feature often and be creative. Gather respects self-promotion and gather accepts continuity, even encourages it.

So what are you waiting for, you have points to earn. Get at it and have a fabulous Independence day coming up at the end of this week.
