Everday there is some type of article on Gather or other sites about the U.S. gas prices being so high. News flash they are not. They have been so low for so many years that as we start to catch up a little with other countries it just seems as though they are high because the rise has happened in a short amount of time.
Out of 155 countries the U.S. is actually ranked 108th on the list of most expensive gas. We are also ranked 44th on countries with the cheapest gas. I took this info from CNN a site I do not like but I figured if I took it from others news sites someone would complain it was biased.
Rank/Country/ Price Per Gallon
So yes we are feeling it a little more in the pocket because the past two years we have seen it climb quicker. You can't expect that prices are going to stay the same while the demand in other countries continues to rise even though our demand has been steady for several years. If we want to keep our prices lower then the U.S. needs to become more self sufficient when it comes to oil.
Be happy you are not living in Eritiea or Norway. If you can't handle the prices then by all means go live in Venezuela or Iran where the prices are much cheaper. I am sure life will be much better there.
