 It's a lazy Sunday and we're off to a Birthday BBQ - Pool Party, but then Richard showed me the sports section in the Sunday paper .............

EURO 2008 Championship in Vienna - televised today at 2:30 EST

Held only once ever four years - this championship soccer game will be played in Vienna, Austria. It's not the World Cup, but it's huge.

Germany vs Spain in the final game for the bragging rights.

 

Germany is the underdog in this game - Spain appears to have the better team,

but then, again, to make it this far you have to be good.

The winner gets $4.7 Mil along with the glory and the bragging rights!

 

I'll be watching at least parts of it.

So it will be "Viva Espana" or with luck, Germany might win the title of the EURO 2008 Soccer Championship.

I'd love for Germany to have the bragging rights for the next four years!

Won't be watching. Sorry. We're not sports fans in this house, maybe a bit of Yankees baseball and that is it!

No plans for today, just playing on the computer and I really need to wash the kitchen floor! Hubby is watching the DVD and my son is playing with his neighborhood pals.

Very cool. This isn't being shown on any of the 25 regular sports channels on my cable thing. It's being shown in on the Spanish channel. Doesn't matter so much for me, since I'm fluent, but I find it interesting that they don't think anyone who speaks English might want to watch this...

One of my ex-husbands was a star forward for a Tijuana team so I very much enjoy watching soccer from time to time... It is a fast-paced game compared to football or baseball with action happening the entire time -- interesting to watch...
