I just wanted to post a few pics for those who still read my posts....
Gather has been fun....
but like most things for me...
once a price tag is applied...it losses its glory
I have been on gather a little over a year now...
I came here, following the words.....get points for what you do anyway....
and its true....I like taking pics....and sharing....
and writing an occassional poem
and talking about food eating, growing, and cooking.....
but thats about as good as it gets with me.....
the thing I like the most about being "online" was staying in touch with friends and family....
but that is like pulling teeth...lol....I guess you only care to see so many pics of the same garden....
I am not a "headliner", competitive, or likely to proof read, edit, or look for greener pasture....
and my thoughts are mostly better kept to myself ( well most of the time, anyway)!
In my year here....I have managed to "gather" 2- 25 dollar gift cards
and am working on a third( hopefully 50 if I dont give up)
This will be my last garden post publicly.....from here on I will only be posting to my gardening group Gar D En
Any food related items will be directed to Shannon's Cookbook
and
you will for sure....see me having fun with her Cook's Challenge!
I guess I am saying Gather has gotten to big for me.....
and I have gardening to do! LOL.....
so
to steal a thought, a phrase, an intention.....
May the road rise to meet you
may the wind be always at your back
and untill we meet again
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.....
OR to say it "my way"
YOU take the high road
and I'll take the low road
and when you get their first.....
I'll be there shortly......

seeing is believing!

I just picked my huge cucumber last night - it measured at 20inches! I will be making fresh salsa with it tomorrow.
I just discovered your garden and now your not posting garden stuff? Lovely pics from a unique perspective. I'm trying to grow blueberries too and I have a few tomatoes. Are those yellow pears? I love those.
Your "maters " shots are fantastic! Green is hope and anticipation... Love all of your photos!
I always try to see, keep up with your postings, LouAnne... I hope I have not neglected you to the point that I am part of the reason you are "down-sizing"?
I'll see you on Shannon's Cookbook!
You can downsize, but you'd best not leave after YOURE the one who got me addicted to Gather.
I'll still track you down on your own sites, and point your pictures.
Enjoy your season of harvest, lil' sister.
I thought of you as I drove my grandbaby girl to her (first) week at camp.
I was down in the Potosi area, and the hills rose up, so green it almost hurt the eyes.
The valley's dipped deep and called to me to walk in the cool shade,
but I didn't stop for the walk, I'll probably be sorry about that.
The city called me back, and I went back to work, thinking of you.
Blessings on your head, gardenergirl.
Did you find me those 10 acres yet?
I want them to be fairly close to your place...maybe a couple roads over?
Enjoy your summer, dearling.
