I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but did the DO NOT ENTER sign not click... You can clearly see the roller coaster coming at you at a rapid rate...why would you climb the fence in the first place?

Good grief! Seems awful things always happen at Six Flags, wherever it is... We have one in Dallas as well, where a gal was drowned on a water ride a few summers back. So sad.

Nancy is right - they always have things happen.

Disneyland has bad things happen, too, but you never hear about it. They don't have to report it. Disney is "special" I guess - and has influenced California law.

Its too bad that happened but the boy should not have climbed the fences that were put there to keep people safe. It wasn't the fault of the park that he wouldn't obey the rules.

Very few things happen at Disneyland. They are pretty hardcore on safety.

I did find one death at Disneyland in 2003. Another in 1998...but still, most injuries are pretty basic.

I broke my arm there when i was a kid....

Even though it was the kid's fault, and the park did nothing wrong or neglected to do what it is legaly required to do, the family of this dead idiot will sue and the way the court sytem works now, they will easily win or get a settlement. In either case the family of this idiot has just hit the mega bucks.
