I'm back after spending the past week with my family. I did manage to get on line to put my freebie article on each day. My youngest son was not able to make it home for our reunion and my oldest is in a hospital in Kentucky with advanced MS. My youngest daughter & her family were in military transition from Okinawa to Italy and were able to spend most of the week with us before going on to visit his family. My second son & his family came from Arizona. It was the first time in 12 years these 4 have been together. The 2 middle kids live fairly close.
I was able to get 15 grandkids, 2 sons & 2 daughters & 3 of their spouses together. 2 sons & their spouses, 9 grandkids & 4 great grandkids weren't able to come.
My nephew, his wife, daughter & son in law stopped by to visit. They were in Germany at the same time my daughters family was and hadn't seen them in 8 years.

15 of my grandchildren. Some had been muddying on the 4 wheelers so they look pretty dirty.
We had a friend snap this picture so we could all be in it. My sis said if any more had been there we would have had to find a bigger porch. LOL
The last day we had a picnic in a beautiful park. It had a great playground and pool. It was impossible to get all the kids together so I just grabbed what I could.
The goodbyes were rough. This was the only picture I managed to take. There was a lot of laughter but also a lot of tears. It will be 4 years before they come home again. They left at 4:00 am the next morning to visit his family. My son stayed another day and a half and then they left for Arizona.
I hope you can understand why I've neglected you all. I need another day or two to get my house & garden caught up and then I'll try to catch up on all your articles & images.

my sister had one last year and i remember having such a wonderful time...
wonderful memories... and i cried when i had to leave.... i know how you feel...

my brother broke a bone in his back a few hours later, not paying attention with the ditches, and a four wheeler...not a good combination!
