There is a reporting system my husband uses at work. Every month he had to write 40 paragraphs for this report, one for each of the 40 categories. At the end of today, he found out that the IT guys modified the software and merged the categories, so now there are only 4, instead of 40. The information required is still the same, just that there are now 4 comment boxes instead of 40 comment boxes to type in.
It would have been an easy transition if they had notified my husband and allowed him time to save a copy of what he already typed up. But no. Instead, the IT people overwrote the software and erased everything he had. Now he ends up with 4 blank comment boxes, no back up of what he already submitted, and this report was due next Monday.
On top of that, the reporting system can only be accessed from a Secret computer, which he doesn't have. It is located inside the Captain's office, and my husband can only use it when the Captain is not there (usually before 6 AM or after 6 PM). So in order to get this report resubmitted on time, he will have to leave the house around 3 AM Monday morning.
Like he didn't have enough to do already!
