10,000 Readers in a Month!

Is that even possible? I know it can be for the big timers, but can a new author garner that much interest? and with an E-book to boot?

Well....I'm hoping so.

Since it's inception, E-Books have gotten a bit of a bum wrap from the publishing world. At one time they were considered "not real books" or "real authors".   I think it wasn't until RWA began to recognize these publisher's as legitimate that readers and reviewers started taking a more active interest. And now, many authors who started selling to e-publishers first are now experiencing success with the print publishers. 

I'm sure there are some of you who remember me from the last two First Chapter contests held here at Gather.  I entered the romance contest with my novel Dark Obsession, but didn't enter the Crime Fiction contest (however I commented on a majority of those posted.) 

Anyway as a new E-Published author, I'm finding it difficult to "get the word out" about my book. Marketing is not my forte.  And, having five kids at home and trying to complete another novel, makes it difficult to do any PR for myself.  So, I've decided to set a goal. Now, I don't usually make goals because I can't seem to keep them, but with this one, I'm hoping you'll help me. 

For the month of July (and the rest of this month) I've set a very lofty goal of finding 10,000 readers by August 1.  Can it be done?  I don't know.  But, it'll be fun trying....and you'll get a fabulous book in the process. =)

My book HER WILL HIS WAY has gotten only wonderful reviews from everyone who's read it, (here's one from Nightowl Romance) but if you don't want to take their word for it, then check it out for yourself. =)
