UpDate On Pittsburgh Gathering Group

Hello members,

I just wanted to touch base with everyone about the Pittsburgh Gathering. For the ones that haven't been on in a while or who are just seeing this we have a date.

It is going to be at

 August 20th, 2008 5pm

Hard Rock Cafe - Station Square Pittsburgh, Pa

I called the Hard Rock today and talked to Roy. He has even heard of gather. I will stay in touch with him on how many we are excepting as we get closer the date. Now all you have to do is let us know your coming and how many so I can reserve your table. I talked to Debby O today and her and Nina R have already started  planning. For the out of towners there is a Sheraton right there in walking distance to the Hard Rock. There are many other things right there to see and enjoy also. You could even take a ride on the Gateway Clipper or the Rubber Ducky tours are there also. I will include a link for you to see for yourself what there is to offer. They are staying at the Sheraton so If we have enough couples maybe we can get a better rate. So let me know if you are interested in staying at the Sheraton.

There are other places to stay as well but if your not familiar with the city you may not want to venture from town. I am willing to help anyone with reservations or whatever you need . When I talked to Roy at the Hard Rock  he said it is right there by the T and the inclines and a lot of local people would probably take public transportation.

I decided to use this Group to Register &  all updates, chats, questions etc since everyone has already joined it. I will start as of today to moderate it to keep it up to date and uncluttered. I am going to remove all articles posted thus far so please don't take offense to it.

Please do not post anything to this Group unless it concerns the Gathering in August or it will be declined  and  removed.

This will be a great chance to meet Tom G and all your Gather friends and connections. So mark your calendars.

Hope to meet as many of you as we can and have fun doing it. Brings your friends, families and cameras.

The hotel is right there within walking distance to the incline to up to Mt Washington. You can ride it up and get some great shots of the city. The ride up and down is a thrill itself. Maybe we could all meet to do that earlier in the day after you get checked in and before dinner. I live up on the Mountain so I can meet you up there at the incline. Not much walking after you get up there either. They even have little Trolley Cars that take you around. So there is many things to do here. I hope you enjoy our Town.
