I'm constantly reminded of how good the music of the late 50's and 60's is (some of the 70's too). In particular, Motown. While searching for one of my favorites, "Do You Love Me" by the Contours, I came across many names of other songs that are classic and often played in commericals or on TV. So, I was wondering, what are some of your favorites? Do you think we'll ever be able to get back to this style without sampling older material?
Here some others of mine:
"Be My Baby" - The Ronnettes
"Where Did Our Love Go?" - The Supremes
"Please Mr. Postman" - The Mervelettes
"Heat Wave" - Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
"My Guy" - Mary Wells

I just got the new Usher CD- there is a song on there- very classic appeal. It could be a throw back to older music. Great music is hard to pass up.
