We have a poster of this, which we just fondly call The Yellow Cafe, but my daughter tried to photograph it but got a nasty reflection of the glass...I was going to use this for a writing prompt...this is such a great image...

Wonderful tribute to the world's greatest painter... Oh, I don't know how much do I feel happy to see this amazing work on my all time favourite.. The man passionate lover who cut his ear to prove his love, the obsessed painter who went deep into the mines to study the life of miners, an intriguing personality who had to live in asylum and finally who shot himself dead... Those melancholic and poignat letters he wrote to Theo tell all about the genius called Van Gogh! Thanks Isis, only you can do it!

I liked this very much, Isis, save for the repetition of the word ´beautiful´ so often, which is almost too allusive to Don Maclean´s final lines in Starry Starry Night. I suggest playing with the development of this idea of beauty (as truth, in the Keatsian sense) with a different word combination. (And please remember love I could be completely off base in my gut assessment, really trifling here. I just want a poem that cleaves to his vibrato use of the brush, the stricken lucidity.

Very pretty poem. I love Vincent Van Gogh's paintings. Isn't it a shame that he never sold a painting while he was alive? Probably one of the reasons he went crazy and killed himself. He was not a bad looking man either. What a shame.
