That is what scientist Bryan Sykes, professor of genetics at Oxford University and author of "Adam's Curse: A Future Without Men," predicts will happen. We have about 125,000 years to prepare ourselves for an entirely feminine population. The reason for the male demise, according to Sykes, is that the "Y" chromosome is flawed and since it can't repair itself it will eventually disappear. So without men will the entire race die out? Sykes says technology will eventually allow female-only biological procreation, which is already the case with some plants and animals. So what kind of world absent of men can we envision? Would there be fewer wars or possibly no wars? Our currently expanding prison system would shrink considerably, maybe altogether, since 97% of the prison populace is men. So many businesses would fall by the wayside, sporting events, Hooters, bars, violent television shows, etc. Would shoe stores replace them? Do we need men? I for one am thinking who will venture into those crawl spaces under the house? Or when you hear a creepy sound at night who will get out of bed to check it out?

Too bad I won't be around for the breath of fresh air.
good article, CJ
God intended that we each and all be "balanced" as equals yet opposites, male (+) and female (-) with god as Spirit (=) in-between ... Trinity of (+=-) ...
But without Spirit we have a void or gap (/) of misunderstanding and conflict between the (+) and the (-) ... (+/-) ... duality ... lose either one and the other is lost also .... unless what the article portends.
Of course, if the theory actually did play out, girls born into such a world wouldn't realize that there was something lacking. There would be no basis for actual comparison, except through history.
