Question of the week.... What are your plans for July 4th?

My family and I will attend the Fireworks in our town

spend the night at home watching the local fireworks on tv:)

I'm sure the city has a parade and fireworks. I'm just not able to go or I would. It will be like all the rest of the days...sit home alone and do nothing.

We will probably doo what we do every year and enjoy the carnival & fireworks at our military base.

Our small town has a parade and fireworks....although I haven't heard much about it this year. I am sure our Veterans Museum - all volunteer run - will have some activities planned as well.

Right now we do not have plans to attend the events. My immunity is very low and I have to watch being around crowds.

Normally?

Rough-camp on a Trout stream in a North American Forest (or the Boreal), be Thankful for Our Independence, get cut up, burn myself, be ravenous, fight off Bear and Porcupine and Coons, marvel at Martin, smoke Cigars and drink a beer in the stream as I fish, be amazed by the Beauty of Nature, be amazed at the harshness of Nature, be amazed at the Brutality of Nature, light Bottle-Rockets and then snicker like a child, re-learn that a WARM breeze actually has a scent of its' own, see shining eyes in the dark of night, find a clearing and stare at the midnight sky, tramp through the woods in the dead of night just for the challenge, catch Brookies and Browns, feel a bit sickly from Exposure, remove some Ticks, eat Brookies and Browns and Steak, chop wood, and bathe naked. And thank God for, and Love, every second of the experience.

THIS year? I may not be So-Blessed...

we will probably attend the fireworks or buy some fireworks and do them at home, whatever my daughter wants to do. or we may go to Beech Bend Park again.

We will probably meet the rest of the family in Ohio at Cedar Point. My brother is being transferred from Norfolk to Vermont by the Navy, so this may be the last time to see him in a while.

We haven't decided whether we will go on base for the festivities, or just stay at home. My dogs are really afraid of fireworks, so we might just stay home with them, so they aren't quite as scared. I don't even know if the town we live in now allows fireworks, though, so they might be fine at home by themselves. I need to check and see whether or not fireworks are allowed in town, and then we will make our decision.

I have to work.

I have no plans for the 4th. We have parades downtown, but I have never attended.

We will be at our last day of family camp at the Bible camp, where the campers put on their own parade. My boyfriend's only day off is the 4th,..I hope he will spend the day at camp with us. However, he can't take us to the towns fireworks since he will have to get up at midnight to work on Saturday. He wants to take us the evening of the 3rd to buy fireworks at one of the stands and shoot them off there.

Third annual road trip to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival, Air Show, Fire works, shopping and what ever else we can squeeze in....not to mention celebrating my birthday too! (7/5)

We have spectacular fireworks in NYC and lots of places to view them. Most people have, or attend barbecues, including my own family. Unfortunately, since I got ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease, people [even my family] stopped inviting me, because I don't drive anymore, and they don't want to come pick me up, get me into the car, and put the wheelchair in the trunk. I have become too much of a project. Moreover, I no longer fit into everybody's profile of someone they want around. They can't handle the way I look, and the fact that i have to use a machine to talk for me. When they do invite me, they tend to stick me in a corner with my aide and nobody comes to sit with me and keep me company. So I get kind of depressed on holidays, knowing everybody is partying without me.

I'm going to the parade in town but I'm not too sure if there will be fireworks. There was a story on the local news a couple of weeks ago about the lack of fireworks leaving China because of the Olympics. They are being routed to a different dock to be transported and they aren't delivering them like they should.

We will probably go to the centeniel park and watch teh fireworks.. I will talk hubby in to walking over to the booths so we can aleast get a funnel cake and some drinks. If not popcorn to. I want to take my camera to take pictures and possible a video of the fireworks.. I hope they are cool this year.

Not sure what I'll be doing yet! It'll be my first fourth of July in Denver (and in a city at that) so I'll probably check out the fireworks. Should be a fun time!! :)
