The little house we called our own in Sweden for two weeks this June had a lake right next to it. The owner had a swampy area dredged more and more in the course of several years, considering the vegetation he wanted, the shape, the boulders and large rocks - everything. It is a spectacular work of art that looks totally natural. I took photographs almost daily, and depending on the light, the weather and the time of day, it looked new and different each time. Here is a journey, literally through our two weeks. We dream of returning...
The first morning...
Waiting for frogs...
A pile of boulders
Clouds in the water
Another part of the shore
Looking towards one of the tiny islands
Hanging on...
Look here if you would like to see more frogs
Up close
Ducks swimming away as fast as they can. They did this every time I took out my camera...
Zoomed as close as possible...
Sauna on one of the tiny islands
Birch reflected in the water
Frogs meeting
Lots of these tiny little pink flowers swimming in the water
Another day, another light
Look in the other direction
Tiny bird on a large boulder
This is not autumn color: the last rays of the sun bring gold to the tree tops!
The sun sets on the last evening...
