I've never tried Bison meat before. I'm actually not sure I could make myself eat it, just because it's not the normal type of meat. But, I was watching HSN today and they had Tony Little on there selling Bison Hamburgers and Bison Hotdogs. He was comparing the nutritional info between the Bison meat products and traditional hamburgers and hotdogs and it was pretty amazing so I thought I'd share it.
Bison Burger has 140 calories, 6 grams of fat, and 23 grams of protein
a 70% lean beef burger has 375 calories, 28 grams of fat, and 18 grams of protein
a turkey burger has 168 calories, 8 grams of fat, and 20 grams of protein
Bison hot dogs have 130 calories, 8 grams of fat, and 12 grams of protein
Beef hot dogs have 248 calories, 20 grams of fat, and 8 grams of protein
Pork hot dogs have 202 calories, 16 grams of fat, and 10 grams of protein
So, when you look at the nutritional info, Bison burgers and hot dogs are definately better for you. This peaked my curiosity, but not enough to make me order them. For now, I'll just have a better appreciation for Bison meat, but without the desire to try it out for myself. Have you ever tried Bison?

Just made bison burgers a couple days ago.
Honestly, I expected it to taste nasty but it's quite tasty.
Bison is actually very good, at least what I had.
