Today we are serving Irish cuisine and breakfast is great... Oat cakes.. soda bread... grilled tomatoes and all kinds of grilled meats... The Irish bacon is fabulous and the wonderful Irish butter... yummmmm
Later we will have Corned Beef, which really is not a traditional dish in Ireland... However the Irish immigrants in the US could not get their Irish bacon and used Corned Beef in their traditional dishes instead... and loved it.. so it has become custom...
We will be serving it with Colcannon (Irish: cál ceannann) which is made with mashed potatoes, garlic and cabbage or kale... It is a great dish....
There will also be Irish stew and boiled bacon and cabbage.... soda bread, boxty, fish prepared different ways, Dublin Bay Prawns, Irish Oysters and salmon.... and venison.... lots of venison.... lol.
We have small bowls of Faerie Tea set out for the Faeries... some always drop by. And we are expecting other of the LIttle People to drop in... So if you see Fearies sipping their tea, or Leprechauns dancing on the bar or Elves sipping their meade... please... try not to stare... it makes them so uncomfortable... Just treat them as you would anyone else... share a drink, offer a Faerie a nibble from your plate... they like that... And tell us about your experience in a comment....
One other thing.... I am sure you have all noticed that the trolls come by as soon as the Cafe opens everyday.... I have decided to welcome them.... so you will notice I have curtained off the booth there in the corner by the bar... This is the Troll Booth... they are so secretive, I knew they would not stay if they did not have a private place... Maybe with their own little corner... they will stay and join the fun.... So, you might just murmer words of welcome when you pass by their booth.... I am not really sure what they eat.... other than goats.... so I put a little goat on the menu today.... I am hoping they will just ask if they want something else...

Oh... if any of you have any other Irish dishes in mind... please suggest them so Chef can have them ready for our next Irish feasting...
As to the Little People... they were here most of the time.... and they tell me that they approve.... It seems no one stared overly much... and they promise not to be so shy in the future...
Amazingly, the trolls seem to have also visited... but they stayed in their booth and did not make trouble.... hurray!!!!
Ya'll stay as long as you want... just lock up behind yourselves... or wait here for breakfast... lol
