This afternoon, we took Kyleigh to the airport to pick up my mom, who will be visiting for a month. My mom was the care-giver for Kyleigh until she became 15 months old. So they had not seen each other for 2 months.
When my mom first came into the car, Kyleigh looked at Grandma and seemed confused. She was very quiet and sat still in her car seat. She just stared at Grandma with a suspicious look on her face.
About half way home, she remembered Grandma. By the time we got home, she was babbling and clinging to Grandma. Suddenly she seemed to have returned to be a baby. She couldn't use the sippy cup, and she wanted Grandma to hold her all the time.
The first thing my mom did was to show Kyleigh all the new toys, new clothes, and new snacks she brought for her. I cooked fish and rice for dinner, and my mom made fresh squeezed apple juice. We also had cherries for dessert.
After dinner, my mom gave Kyleigh a haircut, and they were reading books and playing together. Kyleigh was having so much fun that she stayed up till almost midnight.
My mom was blurry in this picture, but she surely looked happy to see Kyleigh again. Kyleigh was keeping a "cool" face like usual. She doesn't like to smile to the camera. "How do you like my new haircut?"

Kyleigh was playing with a new wind chime my mom brought. Too bad I couldn't get a better picture.

Kyleigh was checking out the new books Grandma brought.

Kyleigh was reading an animal book with Grandma.
