Yay, the weekend is here!
We are fortunate to live in Florida near the beaches.
This Friday night we decided to eat out at the Conch Republic, a casual seafood restaurant at the beach. It had been forever since we took a nice long walk on the beach.
So a couple of Mojitos and shrimp kabobs later, we took off our sandals and walked along the beach. I love traipsing through the water, but twice I slipped on the seaweed, catching hold of the the BF just in time, very slippery.
The water felt lukewarm and the beach was not at all crowded. We enjoyed our leisurely walk and I attempted my first photo shoot at the beach - photographing a sunset.
ENJOY!

I loved how the camera captured the golden glow both on the water and as it spread into the horizon.

Fire in the sky - like a surreal painting - so beautiful!

Breathtaking and surreal - imagine - the sunset belongs to all of us - no one owns it.

The sun has set:)
Wasn't that just spectacular - Mother Nature at her best!
The sky looked so pretty even after the sun had set.

Below: This was one of my favorite shots.
I loved the colors and the cloud formations.

The parting shots.

Loved how the colors of the sunset reflected on the water!
Thank you for coming along to enjoy this glorious sunset - it was my pleasure!

Amanda - lots of shrimp:) You gotta eat seafood when you go to the beach - and the mango dipping sauce was divine.
Thanks so much for posting this to
my group
It was the next best thing to being there!
There was a lady with an impressive camera and a tripod taking pictures. I'd have loved to have seen hers for comparison and to learn more.
Connie - thank you:)
I could feel it, smell, it hear it,
see it. I was there!
Thanks for posting to By The Sea.

necee - I'm sure happy I missed most of Fay - but thanks to her hanging around and returning - we had two days of rain this past weekend. Luckily no damage and I know the garden loved all the water. Thanks for looking a second time.
Arleen - thank you, we had a lovely evening and I admit it was a pleasant surprise to see at how well the pictures turned out.
Fern - I am so glad you enjoyed my pics, I am always happy to see you drop by.
