Angel's Author's Cafe Friday 6-20-08

Supper service is still going strong tonight and I expect it to continue for several hours yet... and of course the kitchen will stay open as long as anyone is hungry...

Tonight we have several special seafood dishes....  The lobster tank is full of wonderful Maine lobster and we have several specials that feature them....  The Lobster Newburg in Puff Pastry was such a hit that I have decided to keep it on the menu....  also the Maine Lobster Rolls....  what could be better as a quick lunch or a late night snack...   Tonight I have a special dish of Broiled Maine Lobster Stuffed With Deviled Fresh Blue Crab....  The Deviled Crab has just a hint of Cajun spice... not really heat..... warmth.... so it does not overpower the sweet Maine Lobster....  Enjoy it with drawn butter or Roumalade.  Let me know if you want me to keep it on the menu also....  I have decided that we will keep the Lobster tank full of sweet Maine Lobster...  I have a friend who flies them into Texas everyday and he has agreed to keep my tank full of the freshest, sweetest lobsters west of the Mississippi....

The King crab is very good tonight also... as is the Alaskan Cod and Halibut... yummmmm... fixed to order anyway you like.... try it grilled....

Then there are the Fresh Wild Caught American Shrimp....  Fried, Steamed, Grilled, Broiled, Baked, or Sauted in Garlic Butter.Italian style... just name how you want em and Chef will cook em right up.....

Ya'll just make yourselves to home and set a spell.... and eat... everyone... eat up........   We are celebrating American Wild Caught Seafood tonight.....

Just a note about tomorrow....

Tomorrow we are having Corned Beef and Cabbage and some other Irish cuisine...  well.... it is American Irish... Corned Beef was not eaten much in Ireland... it was much too expensive... but it is enjoyed by American Irish and by the Little People... and some of the Little People usually show up when we have Irish cuisine....  So.... tomorrow if you see a Faerie or two sipping at the Faerie Tea left around in small bowls....or Elves sipping Ale in the corner...  or Leprechauns dancing on the bar....  please... try not to stare... it makes them uncomfortable to be stared at... Just treat them like you would treat anyone else....  Share a drink or a bite of your dinner with them and wish them well....  May the luck of the Irish be with you....
