Facebook Groups - Easy Ways to Join Facebook Groups

As one of the most popular social networking site available in the Internet today, facebook offers it's users a wide variety of applications which they can use either for fun or for serious business.  Facebook groups is one application that is used widely by most of it's members.  It is a good venue not only to meet friends online but also find people with the same interests. 

Joining facebook groups is very easy.  Simply log in to your facebook account, and on the left tab, you will see a list of applications.  Click on groups, and once you are there, you will see two tabs, one indicating recently joined by your friends and the other indicating your recently updated groups.  But since you are not yet a member of any group, you may click on the link to browse groups or create your own group.  For a beginner, it is not advisable to create your own group yet since you still do not have an idea on what you can do with the groups.   

Proceed with browsing groups, and you will find that there are more than a thousand groups available.  There is no limit to the number of groups that you can join, so you may join as many groups as you wish.  The more groups you join, the bigger your social network becomes.  While browsing through the groups, you can find the name of the group, it's population size, the type or category in which the group belongs to, the  latest number of new members who joined or members who left the group, and some updates done to the group. 

To make it easier for you to search among the groups which might interest you, try to click on the right tab where there are subtypes written, which has a list of categories which might be of interest to you.  If you see a group name which may be interesting, view the group to read the information about it.  If you feel you want to join the group, look for the join this group button .  You automatically become a member of the group, and you can also invite other people to join the group by clicking on invite people to join and send it to your friends who are in facebook or send an email to your friends who are not yet members of facebook.  In case you want to leave a group, feel free to click on leave group anytime.   

Once you become a member of a group, you have the option to upload photos and videos for the group, write on The Wall, and join discussions in the discussion board or perhaps start your own topic.  Joining facebook groups is not only fun but it expands your network, giving you more opportunities to market your products and services to a larger group, especially if the group you are joining has millions of members.
