Angel's Author's Cafe Tuesday 6-17-08

It has been so busy this morning with everyone coming in to shelter from the rain... Right now it is pouring and we have 70 mph winds....  It is wild out there... but come on in and dry off....

Today's lunch special is pot roast with braised veggies and gravy and fluffy mashed potatoes....  and fresh crispy cornbread....  There are braised potatoes from the roast if you would rather... but I was in the mood for mashed... so .....

The Beef Barley soup is very good today... as is the Cream of Mushroom soup...

Tonight will be Italian night and there will be pizza and lasagna as well as several pasta dishes....  Shrimp and Sweet Peppers over pasta is one of my favorites... but there will also be Fettucine Alfredo and Pasta with a nice Red Gravy.... and Chicken Caccitore with Artichoke Hearts is yummy...

Try the Sicilian Stuffed Artichokes...  they are one of my favorites....

Oh my.... the wind has blown down a tree across the street.... 

Today is a Friendship Day.... if you are looking for friends... just leave it in a comment.... like mine...

Ya'll just make yourselves at home... looks like everyone will be staying for while....
