There are lots of weird laws like this throughout the states. For example, it is illegal in Florida for a single, divorced, or widowed woman to parachute from a plane on Sunday afternoons. In Alaska, no child shall build a snowman taller than himself on school property. Some states even tax illegal drugs. You can get a tax stamp from the department of revenue to remit your sales tax on illegal drugs. The DOR is prohibited from sharing the information with the police so that people actually pay their taxes. (One state that does this is Tennessee, but there are others as well). It is always fun to research the weird laws out there. It would take too much money and time to get them off of the books.
