Anyone else having that problem? About two hours ago I started a new group for pictures Shutterbug Enthusiasts Unite! and now have 32 members plus quite a few submissions. But my points only moved by 3 points. It seems that ever since the triple points promotion, my points don't move hardly at all.
Do we get points for pings? I put out about 50 of them in the last few days and my points only moved by about 10 points. I posted about 15 new images but my points don't seem to register. Is it due to the catch up of the triple points or am I doing something wrong?

You do not accrue points for the following:
Technically you do not receive any points for the last three items. However, they can indirectly contribute to your earnings in the community.

You don't earn points directly for ANY of the above items, and Gather has stated this several times. However, the page views generated by the activities above can generate points by attracting more members to your work.
Ratings are truly 'pointless' however, unless you make it on the "Highest Rated" listing. Then you may attract more views from members perusing those listings.
I always thought commenting & rating did give you points?
Thanks! Your observations are probably very accurate. I have noted that views of videos seem to have higher earnings potential than viewing other forms of content.
Some days I do better than others, but I think if you participate and stay involved the points will come.
