Stratford on Avon is a town in Warwickshire, famous because William Shakespeare was born here. This is a picture of Shakespeare's Birthplace, and the garden behind the Birthplace.

We have a mixture of old and new buildings in Stratford, I like the old ones, they are so much more interesting.
The Garrick is a very
old pub, it is a popular place, they serve really good food there,
and I have had quite a few nice meals there myself!
The Alms
houses were origionally for the poor, they are still lived in today, but much more expensive now!

Of course we have plenty of highstreet shops, here are a few of them, and as you can see there are some lovely trees in the town centre. This is Bridge Street, as the name sugests it leads to the river bridge.
The river is very popular with tourists, lots of people take boating holidays, and sail down the river for a week or two, there are many locks to negotiate, before joining the canal, bringing them full circle to the river again, back to where they started.
There are some well kept gardens here, which are open to the public, lovely to come and sit for a while.

The final picture is of Holy Trinity church,
where William Shakespeare is burried.
