If this isn't the most interesting and historically meaningful vice president choice in U.S. history, can someone please list some others? I didn't catch any historical parallels on the show?
First, I won't mention all the valid issues of race and gender and getting elected that were well covered.
Second, what about the historical aspect of the VP choice? Following the 'Imperial Presidency,' where Bush is playing president and Cheney and the others who chose G.W. Bush are in the saddle? The presidency is enlarged but the president has been diminished?
Third, without an impeachment of Bush, Cheyney et al, how can there be healing?
She is well remembered (in anything but fond terms) in New Jersey (a potential swing state this year) and her statement that "There is no job that is America's God-given right anymore." is sure to go over really well in the battle states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Go for it, John, she's your girl!!!
