Getting over a bad week

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you've got a zillion things to do, but feel awful? That was last week for me.

I have a ton of things to do right now - writing and putting up web site copy, advertising the site, setting up affiliate programs for the site, posting ads and notices, writing stories for a new book and more. If ever I felt overloaded, it would be now!

Unfortunately, my fibromyalgia really grabbed hold of my body and it was all I could do to sit at my computer and type, let alone think about what I should be doing next. I felt like I was drowning in a way and not able to come up for air. The pain in my body was widespread and dabilitating.

I think the weather may have had a lot to do with it as it has been hot and stormy here in Southern Ontario. The humidity has been extremely high as well.

Finally, I just succombed to it all and took a couple of days where I did little or nothing other than see to the needs of my daughter and my little Shi Tzu "Angel." Yesterday, I had a slamming headache too, so I was forced to lay down for most of the day.

I was so relieved to wake up today feeling significantly better. (Better for me means mild to medium pain - not that all-consuming stuff.) Hopefully, this is the end of a very bad week for me.

Fibromyalgia is a strange chronic illness because you never know when its going to hit and hit hard. The best one can do is roll with the punches, cope with the bad weeks and try to get the most out of the time when you feel better.
