Kyleigh's Story - She Ate Dinner!

I am so excited right now! After almost a week without solid food, Kyleigh finally ate some eggy noodles tonight! She fought back when I first attempted to feed her, but finally opened her mouth. After the first bite, she ate the rest of the bowl willingly. I only filled 1/3 of the bowl because I didn't expect she would eat, so the bowl was emptied very quickly. Kyleigh made impatient noise when I rushed to get a refill! I think she ate a total of 6 to 8 oz of egg drop noodles. She also drank 6 oz of milk shortly after. I hope she will keep this up.

Glad that Kyleigh is eating again. She will now regain her strength and her disposition and sleep should be better too. Evidently, she's on the road to health. Yea!

I remember when we first adopted our son (he was 5) and he had serious eating issues. It was a huge cultural adjustment. He mostly ate bananas and broccoil. While broccoli is indeed healthy, getting enough protein into him was a challenge. Our milk was not sweet compared to the milk he'd had overseas He hated beef and he would only eat chicken nuggets, the kind made at McDonalds.

We lived at McDonalds for awhile. Then he started to eat other things (whew).

Woohoo!Thats definitly good news.I need to talk to the doctor about that.I know they say at this age there matabolism should slow down a little more.I sometimes think Destiny eats to much.It's hard to tell.I guess it's really not much and sometimes it ends up on bib or on the table but mostly she eats what we give her.I'd really know something was wrong if she wasn't eating.
