Father's Day is just a couple of days away. Do you have any special plans to honor your dad? We will be having a dinner at our house aftyer church for my dad, husband and son-in-law to honor all of them on Father's Day. And there will be no barbequing allowed, since it is the guys who usually do the barbequing. We want them to be able to relax and visit on Father's Day. There will be gifts, of course for all three, and hopefully we will make them feel honored.
Since it is going to be a nice day (or so the weatherman says), we will spend a lot of time outside so Dad, Grandpa & Great-Grandpa can have fun with the kids. My husband is planning on setting up his "slip-n-slide", a long piece of plastic he runs water and dishsoap down so the kids can have a great time slidding and staying cool. We will also set up horse shoes, and maybe even take a couple of trips down the zip line.

As far as my plans for Father's Day. I'm fixing meatballs for my husband, because that is what he requested. My 2 year old picked out a blanket, stainless steel mug, and tshirt that all have Dale Jr's car on them. We also bought a shirt that my son is going to put his hand prints on tonight. :) We've been saving pictures we've colored and painted the last few weeks to use as wrapping paper for the presents.
It will just be the three of us, but that's the way it always is, and we love it!
When we realize others and their needs into our own world, holidays begin to feel very man-made.
