It can't be!

This is my son at age 6. (It's the youngest picture I have on my digital camera.  Everything else is on regular film.)

A couple of days ago my 8 year old (soon to be 9 in like 1 week) said his armpits smelled bad.  I thought no way he is just dirty and needs to shower.  Plus he is to young to have body oder. So I decided I would check it out.

I know this is gross but I couldn't help but check.  So I picked up his arm and took a big whiff and boy did he stink.  Body Oder super bad.  I couldn't believe how bad it was.

So we had a talk about B.O. and what he could do to make it better.  I showed him his dad deordant and the body spray he uses and showed him how to use them.  I told him next time we go to the store we would have to buy him his own.

I just can't believe he is growing up so fast.  I know people say it all the time but where did the time go.  He was just a 5 lb. baby last year and now he is going on 9.  I just don't know what to do.

I decided it might be time for the talk.  You know the talk about puberty and stuff.   I don't know much about boys but of course my husband can help and I thought I might read up on it and get a couple of books.

This is my boy now.  He is so cute and big.  What did I miss?
