Coming events in Inner Springs:

• MAGIC SHOW to be held at the Holy Grill Cafe Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Tickets for free. Starring Jackie, Annie, and Waltie Portobello and their Wonder Dog, Foo Foo the bassett hound. You will be surprised! You have to knock three times before we will let you in.  No real dogs allowed because really the theater is our mom and dad's restaraunt. Come one, come all! Grownups, too. Proud parents, restaurateurs Rich and Karen Portobello, will have healthy snacks available to attendees for a small price.
• DOG AND HORSE WALKATHON FOR THE GOOD FRIENDS ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. beginning at the Elementary School and ending at the High School.  Donations and pledges still being accepted - call Leela McGinty at 555-0077 for information. There is plenty of room for more walkers, too, with or without dogs or horses. No cats, please. If your dog doesn't like other dogs or is afraid of horses, let us know ahead of time. Same for your horse, vice versa. We can work it out!

Of all the things one could be doing on Saturday afternoon, readers can rest assured that this reporter is putting everything aside in order to report on this magic show.  In addition, Sunday afternoon's walkathon is for such a good cause, many Springers will no doubt be providing water along the way. I have been informed by several members of the volunteer Fire Department that, barring a fire call, they will be available as pooper scoopers. What a town we have!
