Last night, I finally went ahead and cashed out for the Nintendo WII at Boomertowne (137,500 points). Boy did it hurt seeing the points going down, but I do still have just shy of 200k points, so it didn't hurt -too- badly.
This is going to be a Christmas gift for the kids this year. Nick's already used Gaming Lagoon to get 4 silicone covers for the Wii Remotes, so the kids will each have one of those in a different color. For Christmas, we are planning to buy them each 1 controller, and 1 game.
On top of that, my FIL always sends us gift cards for the kids for Christmas, and lets us decide whether or not we give the card to the kids, or buy them gifts from him with it. It's usually around $45, so I want to get the kids each a $20 game with the cards, and then give them the rest on a gift card. That way, for Christmas, they'll each receive 2 games.
We also plan to get each other a game or two for the system. If Nick can, he plans to cash out for a WII card at Gaming Lagoon, as well, which puts $20 in points onto the WII for downloading games.
Additionally, the kids each have accounts at WRInsider, where they do surveys. Only my oldest daughter understands the points system. What I've done in the past, is cash out for gift cards to put in their stockings from WRInsiders. I never spend their points on myself or Nick, it's always on stuff that they get for Christmas, or their Birthdays. Anyway, one of the kids (Chris? I forget which) has enough for a WII remote charger unit that will charge 2 controllers at a time. I plan to get that, as well.
That site also has the $20 Wii cards, too, so I'll probably flush out the points either with that, or with Walmart cards that can be used to buy the actual games they'll get for Christmas.
Aside from all the WII stuff, they'll get some of the traditional stuff- a new outfit, a pair of pj's, a book or two, that sort of thing. :)

Sarah, I really do enjoy this whole earning online thing. It's been a huge help over the years, even just in small amounts sometimes. :)
Heather- it has helped with the economy. The BT Visa cards are great to have stashed away in case we need gas, or groceries. Hubby's paycheck doesn't stretch -as- far as it used to.

I wish I could do it but everytime I'm online for more than 30 minutes at a time, if my kids are up, I feel totally guilty and like I'm a bad mom. So, I have to get off and go do what's more important! Besides, they won't let me be on the computer for more than a few minutes before they are totally bugging me!
