Question: How many MEAN People Do You Know or Have to Deal With Each Day?

Would like to ask the Gather.com Community - how many MEAN PEOPLE do you know or have to deal with on a daily/weekly basis?

At work there are always some co workers who are just over the top.  Perhaps not street level mean, but just obnoxious enough to get your dander up.  Or maybe a relative who just has been burnt so many times they have stopped caring.

What do you think?

A shocking amount - considering that I work in a Library. There are a lot of nasty people out there. I generally try to assume that they're just having a bad day and aren't like this all the time.

I deal with a lot of mean people too. I work at a grocery store, and people don't go grocery shopping because they want to, believe me. What's more, I work on the service desk, where at least 50% of the customers already have problems. People, a message: I like my job a lot more, and will do more to help you, if you are nice to me.
