Many years ago when the internet was young and search engines were just a gleam in someone's eye, I started writing content for a site that sold that content to other sites who needed something to fill out their pages....
I also built my first website (what a nightmare) to house "The Author's Cafe" where those of us who were writing content articles came to gather together and brainstorm ideas and just generally to be ourselves instead of our public selves... be silly.... talk shop.... ask for help... find support....
It was great..... and as happens with many good things.... eventually it came to an end.... Search engines were developed and the site we wrote for was sold.... we dispersed....
On Gather I have found much of the same spirit and so..... ta da....
This is the Grand Opening of Angel's Author"s Cafe.....
Each day I will open the Cafe and set out some Danish.... some brownies... coffee of course and tea.... I love Constant Comment.... speaking of which.... comments... you are invited to come by and leave a comment with a link to an article that needs rating or comments.... You can leave as many as you want just please leave one article or image link per comment.... and check out someone else's link for each one you leave....
This is meant to be another way for you to get your articles out to readers.... you can post the links here throughout the day one at a time as you write them, and then do a mass email at the end of the day on Gather Broadcast with all the links for the day in one email.... With everyone sending an email for each article... my inbox is bulging.... and it is getting overwhelming.... This way there will be one place to put a little blurb about your article and a link...
Or just drop in for a snack and little company.... ask questions.... get answers... give answers... talk shop..... keep us all current on what is happening in your life.... any special requests for the menu will be honored.... this is your Author's Cafe... your own little home away from home....
And to celebrate our Grand Opening... Gather is EXTENDING TRIPLE POINTS for one more day......
So come on in, sit right down.....
