It's $4.02 here and $3.98 at Walmart where I live.

I am feeling the same way as you.
I get $457/month on SSI.... and I am paying $213 for my car payment (only 3 more months and I'll be done with that! YAY!).....

Since I HAVE to drive an SUV because the doctor won't let me sit down into a car, I have to slide level into a car, gas kills me..... even a small SUV, it costs around $60 to fill my tank.... I have to fill it twice a month.... that's $120... So between my car payment, and gas, I can't hardly afford to eat. Or pay for my medical copays. Or anything else I have to do.

I drive a van because I'm a mom. As a mom I need to be ready to cart countless youth to various functions. These youth do not always belong to me.

We don't go anywhere until it is a real necessity. Just getting gas for the mowers and trimmer is ridiculous, too. We have over an acre to cut.

I am hating it partly because I now drive a SUV that costs me close to $60 to fill, but glad I am not paying high prices like $4.79 like Gwen is. Be thankful your gas prices are low in comparison to other states and or not included in your gas prices are inflated gas taxes like here in Washington state.
