For the record, this is a ROLEPLAYING GAME supplement, not an actual "how-to" guide. I always worry about how some people don't read past the headline before commenting. I can image someone reporting me to Gather for encouraging looting.
In fantasy roleplaying games, players have it easy. You kill the bad guy or the monster. You take its stuff. Not only are you allowed to do so, it's considered your god-given right as a proper adventurer. Was the evil wizard wearing a super-cool magical ring? Take it! It's yours! Evil death knight have some wicked armor that your warrior can put to use? By all means, help yourself!
But in modern roleplaying games, it isn't so simple. Civilized culture frowns upon the looting of drug dealers, murderers, and assorted other criminals. Even if you kill a monster, the government may very well step in and expect everything to be turned over as "evidence." Generally, the law is not on the side of the modern do-gooder trying to upgrade his gear. What to do...what to do?
Looting for Fun and Profit in the Modern World is a short PDF that helps modern players deal with those pesky legal gray areas. This PDF provides a brief overview of how to offload those Rolex watches, designer coats, diamond jewelry, and other nifty stuff the bad guys always seem to have on them. Plus there are several random treasure tables to help Game Masters and Storytellers generate luxury items, watches, and electronics that players can claim as their own.
Best of all, it's only $1.
