Thanks to everyone yesterday with all your well wishes on my Sucky Monday!!  The day did get better.  When Chris got home he finished the cleaning for me and just in time for the guy to come and continue on the basement work.  Not only did the guy not mind but he asked me how it happened.  When I explained to him that I use a hose from my slop sink  to help my washing machine fill up because the water does not come out of the washer well at all.  Yesterday when I was fillng the washer with the hose I got distracted and left it in there running!!!  Hence the water all over the basement when the washer overflowed!!   So he  unscrewed the hose and showed me that the screen was clogged.  He cleaned that off and now I won't need the hose anymore.  

So it turned out to be a good day afterall..I have the basement clean and the washer is fixed, at no extra charge!!

I felt that the work you had to do was compounded by self anger. My favorite baseball player was Mickey Mantle. I have a saying that helps me. "Even Mickey Mantle used to strike out once and a while.

At least it turned out very well, I wish I had a laptop so I could take this outside to the front steps where it would be cooler to work. Oh well, I guess I can't have everything.

Hey Danielle, now that means "sucky Monday" has led to "Terrific Tuesday", I guess that you could believe that things happen for a reason. If that distraction didn't happen, the washer would not have overflowed, if the washer didn't overflow the man would not have come out help you with it, if he adn't done that the washer would not have been fixed. Long route, bad detours along the way, good arrival! :-) Have better day today!!!

I'm glad you got things cleaned up. We still have carpet drying in our basement from the window leak...we have to replace the pad this weekend and fixed the drain in the window well so it won't happen again. I hate messes.

I would have commented yesterday, but i wasnt able to get on at all! i couldnt get on before 5 pm because we were expecting phone calls and i have dial up and only one phone line, and then after that i had to go to walmart to get my pain medication (my son was putting so much pressure on my back it wasnt funny, so my OBGYN gave me Tylenol 3 to help with the pressure at night), and then it stormed all night, so no internet, because i dont wanna risk it...

But i'm glad to see the day got better! my day WAS bad until i found out he called my prescription for pain into walmart, then the pain went away, and the storm brought a cool front in, which is nice, but its still hot here in texas :\
