This is the picture I was talking about someplace or other on Gather recently - don't remember where... but anyway ....
It's my youngest, Jessica - I think she was about 7 then ...she will correct me if I'm wrong. I had sent her to school with both sides in braids, honest!

Sick today .... no fun. Did go to school though - had a meeting re: teaching Business Communication course for Aviation, then class. No Writers' Roundtable - Orillia group is soooooooooo small - and the two people who are serious about attending are willing to join the Barrie group. Works for me.
Ended up with homework from the meeting - need to rewrite an outline for the course, and also write a blurb re: myself & my qualifications. Not going so well... can't concentrate :(
This is what I have for blurb at this point...what d'ya think?
Lauralee P* is a graduate of Laurentian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English. An award-winning writer, she has taught in Aviation Management, Business, and part-time studies at Georgian since 2000. As well, she taught Managerial Communications for the Canadian Institute of Management (CIM), and Public Key Infrastructure for the Ontario Provincial Police.
Anyway, haven't done much since I got home. But did finally download recent pictures from my camera.
More irises. The pole behind the first is holding up the bat box. We don't know if the bats actually use the bat box - we've had the bats a lot longer than the box, and don't generally sit out where it is in the back yard to watch and find out if they are using it.

This one is for Ina. Yes, there are really TVs in the flower bed. Classy, huh?

Also in front of the store, I found this today. I imagine Ross found this guy somewhere and planted him. I thought of Raven Lee Draconis when I spotted it :)

Poor Scrooge wasn't happy that I wouldn't take him to work with me today.

Scrooge was funny this evening. We have a cookie jar that plays Who Let the Dogs Out. My girls bought it for Doris for Christmas one year; she was into animated toys then.
Anyway, Scrooge's begging strips are in there - and if he hears it play, he runs for a treat. There was a commercial on television tonight that played it - and Scrooge immediately ran for the jar. Hope that commercial doesn't play every 10 minutes... that could get expensive!
Isn't this a great shot of Tamara? She took it at work today - was having a great hair day :)
Kay.... I'm supposed to go to the foot doc before class tomorrow... might cancel that, but even so will have to rise & shine for class. Or to call in, if I still feel like this. *sigh* Anyway...I shall shut up now.
Ooops... almost forgot - here's a picture of the boat that I DON'T like to drive. Unfortunately, it's the only one we'll have, since our little tin boat that I do like is going to Ross' sister and her husband after all. Don't know how he figures I'm going to get out to the the floating dock to take this boat out even if I did feel safe driving it. Sux. But no sense whining about it. Much.

If I've missed your article(s) today, will try to catch up tomorrow..... and in the meantime, hope everything is wonderful wherever you & yours are.

How sick are you? I am going in tomorrow...I can't breath...I am coughing non stop....and now I feel terrible. Angela has to be somewhere at 9, so I drop her off, I'm going to sit in ready care...I can't do this anymore.
Poor doggy...how dare you not take him with you...lol...Maggie is the same way.
Love the flowers.
Don't understand how one can keep TVs after they've been rained on (though maybe they're a modern sculpture).
Love the little dragon. I want one!
The blurb is very impressive...I think I am intimidated by you now.
I learned to drive a speed boat before I drove a car...I'd love to get back behind the "wheel" of one right now.
drink green tea to flush your system of the sickies and hope you feel better soon.
I love that school picture of Jessica. She'd end up doing it her way.
Wish I had a job with time to take pictures and post them of my hair! Though I agree that she is having a good hair day.
Love the irises. Should we compare which is better -- the non-working TVs or the toilet which I have.
Do love the Dragon. He would go perfect with the Gargoyle but may frighten me turtle. The one from Christmas is going in the big flower pot. Will take pictures when it stops raining for awhile when I am home.
And yes, include the Leacock Festival work.
Love your flowers that are very pretty. Hope you get to feeling better soon!!
Loved the picture with one braid. If I were there, I'd have tried to fix it. Gee, what kind of teachers were there? The flower pictures are awesome. Maybe my plants would do better if I gave them TV's to watch.
