In an effort to stay cool during yesterday's scorching 93 degree day, Josh & I went to the air conditioned movie theater to see "You Don't Mess With the Zohan."
As a fan of Adam Sandler, but in particular movies such as "The Wedding Singer" and "Big Daddy," I knew I would find this movie stupid, but expected some funny parts.
And that's pretty much what I got. This movie is stupid and not at all realistic, but does give you some laughs - especially if you're in to cheap, easy humor with bad accents. It does feature an impressive (and random) array of famous cameos - from Facts of Life's Charlotte Rae and Dave Matthews (I totally couldn't place him until Josh told me) to John McEnroe and Mariah Carey (probably not even acting, but hilariously ditsy, spoiled and sweet!).
Somehow one of the theaters near us has $5 matinees, so I'm glad I only paid $10 (total!) for us to see this. I like Adam Sandler, but I think he needs to grow up a bit.
