Ominous Landscape

Well, Michigan just got a dose of the nasty weather plaguing most of the country. Tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were going off all day.

While this foreboding series of cloud banks passed us by, it was a tense few minutes. I was getting dinner ready and I hate assembling burgers by candlelight! Just kidding :)

I miss seeing those storms. Here in Southern California they are so rare.
Our thunderstorms look very similar and I like'em too.

We've got the same thing swooping down on us...85 and we're in a severe thunderstorm area with severe storms approaching from the west. Just hope the power doesn't go out. I've got tons of candles, but no batteries for my boom box and the AC will go off.

Yes, it was nasty weather today in Michigan! I was driving home from a relatives out in the country and through a two-lane section of wooded highway and it was making me really nervous. A few trees had come down across the road. It took me over an hour to get home and I was very relieved when I walked into my house and didn't see any storm damage.

Amy, we heard on the weather channel that trees and lines were down in some areas. Glad you made it home okay!

Yikes. Was that hail in one of the photos? I wish we'd get some rain. The grass is starting to brown up everywhere. Not looking good down here. I hope the jetstream makes a dip south this week.

We got it here too. Not a tornado, but enough nasty rolling thunder to scare the kids out of the pool!

We have it going on here two, couldn't run anything today ,our power was running at half mass.. the microwave couldn't even heat up anything...but nothing to bad,
I'm up late doing the laundry will be up for as long as I can as the power is on and normal again,More storms are coming this way....

Wish I could of got a photo we had lightning bolts rounder than the trees in our yard,with booms that shook the house,we don't get that to often..
