Seriously, I do want to buy this house. I found it on the Internet and went out to look at it. I fell in love with this charmer right off the bat. It has 5 acres of land, three bedrooms, electricty, heat, woodstove, cable, and running water. It needs some work inside and out, however I am looking for a trail
er to park there while refurbishing if I end up buying. Tell me what you think, but only if its positive!!

The porch in the back that looks out over the river

The side view of the house

The inside took through a glass sliding door

The river 500 feet below the porch

The garage, it fell in last winter during a record breaking snow fall

It is also great that it has all of the services already, that can be a pain.
Keep us posted!
How much is it selling for?
Just don't do it up cutesy. The place has it's own character.
If you can get a decent price and are willing to do the work, go for it. The land and view are beautiful.
No garage, so you might be able to get the price lowered, or ask the current owner to remove it, so you don't have to.
But if you can stand doing so much work on the house before you can live in it and if you can afford it (and I'd count on it costing more than your original estimation), I say go for it. The property will be worth it.
We live in a house now that needs lots of remodeling (but is livable), but our backyard is an acre backed up to a woods, and our front yard is another acre. And we have loads of trees. And we love all the wildlife we see every day, any time of the day, so that makes it worth it.
Except, be prepared for things like lots of deer poo in your yard and little animals building nests in your AC unit and squirrels eating all the bird food.
Deer poo
Moose poo
Bear tracks
Evidence of beaver dams
and of course the nasty bugs
I would definitely recommend pursuing it, and submitting an initial bid at least 15% lower than the asking price. You have basic utilities, good acreage and location...so the rest will come in time.
Get a good inspection too, and make the offer contingent on it.
Good Luck!
good luck with it
Thank you for posting to Make me Laugh

I was REALLY bored ;)
Good luck!
The garage will have to be demolished, and yes something can be built on the slab of concrete.
Cool though!
U wishing you laughter
How old is the plumbing and electrical. That could get expensive.
Big Q would br how much you KNOW you can do yourself.
